LOCATION: Redondo/10th PARKING: Small lot, but you can park on the streets in the neighborhood WHAT WE ORDERED: * Medium Tom Yum Pizza ($18) SO GOOD! The Tom Yum flavor was perfect. It tastes really close to the real thing. All the spices, ingredients, and iconic pizza consistency blended together perfectly. It wasn't overly saucy, but the flavor was THERE. Since it was just me and my boyfriend eating, we opted for the medium-sized pizza, roughly 6-8 slices. It was just enough for the 2 of us! I wish we had come in a larger group because I also wanted to try the Thai Curry pizza. The inside of the shop has five tables, and it definitely feels like a hole-in-the-wall place, although it's super popular! I'm drooling thinking about the Tom Yum pizza, and I can't wait to come back to try the Thai Curry pizza.
The Tom yum and curry pizzas both are 10/10 every time I order them. I get both with chicken or tofu depending on what i'm craving that day but both are delicious. Very consistent quality. It's an iconic take out spot for a reason.
Thai Curry Pizza is one of the most unique pizza offerings in all of Long Beach. By recommendation of long-time locals, I finally picked up a Tom Yum Tofu pizza and it didn't disappoint. If you like Tom Yum soup, you will absolutely without question like this Tom Yum soup. I went with tofu instead of chicken per so many recommendations and it was great choice! The indoor of the shop has a "hole in the wall" type of feel, but they do have some limited seating available inside if you really wanted to eat there.
jesus i love this food i was coming home from work and caught them a few minutes before they closed and wow 10/10 thai curry pizza
I heard about this place during the pandemic. Though I heard many things during all the AAPI hate happening, it was good to see the support of the community backing this place and rightfully so. Here was my experience! AMBIANCE: Parking: A small parking plaza or metered parking. Seating: Inside seating. Good for small groups. Room for maybe 20 people total. Feels: You're in a grit-and-grind neighborly area of Long Beach. There's no immediate famous monuments but you're close to the area! The place itself is pretty casual. Nothing too flashy, just a small business trying to hold it down while showcasing their delicious and unique menu through pictures with homage here and there to their Thai culture. FOOD: Tom Yam Chicken Pizza (Recommend) When you think of Thai, you think of their unique spices and staple flavors of bamboo, cilantro, and coconut. I'm used to tom yum (hot/sweet and sour) soup The dough was solid and held it all together. You get the best of both worlds with that gooey cheese and that sweet and four flavor. Deelish! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome! I ordered online and they were on point with their estimated time of completion. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Fantastic! Delicious food at a reasonable price. This was quite the experience, for those feeling adventurous or have that desire to fuse a classic pizza with some Thai flavors, these people know how to do it. Looking forward to coming back. I wish Sam, Sue, and the Thai Curry Pizza Team all the best. TIPS: * Don't forget to tip! * https://lataco.com/thai-curry-pizza-long-beach
Such a unique concept, the Tom Yum pizza tastes just like Tom Yum soup. It is a little weird at first because my brain couldn't comprehend, but I enjoyed the pizza very much! Plaza is a bit small, but I was able to find parking easily. I ordered over the phone 15 minutes before closing and they were happy to accommodate and bake me a fresh pizza! It seems family owned and everyone was very friendly. I will definitely be back to show all my friends and family :)
Finally was able to try this amazing pizza in LB and would come back! I ordered through the phone and pick up was in about 30min. Bring cash as cards get charged extra. 8/10 Thai Curry Chicken $20L - Thai curry sauce was very good! Creamy, rich, and packed with lots of flavor. It was not spicy, solid amount of cheese, but the amount of sauce was lacking. The dough is a thicker and chewy type so with the little sauce, the pizza was lacking flavor overall. I would highly recommend ordering extra sauce on the side to add for this. Chicken bits were cooked well, not dried out. 9/10 Tom Yum Chicken $20L - Definitely the best pizza here! It was not that saucy but yet had so much more flavor than the Thai curry! The thicker dough with the Tom yum combined well so no need for anything extra. The Tom yum flavor was authentic, savory, and a bit tangy. So Good! 7/10 Thai Curry Tofu $20 - same as the other Thai curry pizza but tofu is just more like soft. I feel like fried tofu should've been used. I would recommend getting large sizes only as the dough to filling ratio might be off on smaller size pizzas (too much dough and not enough filling)
The inside is bigger than I expected, but now I know that dining in is also an option. There's a cool fish tank and several pictures of the pizzas decorating the walls. There was brief confusion about my order, but the cashiers were accommodating. First bite included fresh basil, garlic, and the curry sauce. The sauce has a slight sweet and peppery quality. It tastes delightful with the basil and garlic. Perhaps, I'd order again with more chicken and maybe no onions. They were long pieces, which isn't my preference but this did not impact the flavor. I customized my pizza with bell pepper, basil, and garlic - they were delicious! I'd also like more sauce as well and less cheese - these are simply my wishes but aren't dealbreakers.
Yo this place is BOMB. Def in my top 5 fav restaurants in LA. I haven't tried anything but their Thai pizzas but I'm sure based on how good they are, their other food items must be good if not great. Their Thai Curry pizza is what they are known for and it is super good. However, the Tom Yum is where it's at. So much flavor with the concentrated soup base as the sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken and a ton of cilantro. Literally tastes exactly like the soup. Pro tip add garlic and jalapeño. Also can get curry sauce to dip for 2 bucks. Soooo good!
